These conditions apply to services that are booked from 1 December 2025 to 1 December 2026.

All prices are shown when you book. Prices include VAT. Prices can vary with demand and can change before you book. We charge no booking fees.

For accommodation, a booking is binding once the price or the retainer has been paid in full and the payment and booking confirmation has been sent to the e-mail address you gave.

For activities and travel packages, a booking is binding once the retainer has been paid in full and the payment confirmation has been sent to your e-mail address.

If you pay by invoice, you must keep to the due date. We may cancel a booking if the price or the retainer is not paid in full by the due date, or if valid credit card details are not provided.

Online bookings are paid in full when you book. For group bookings made by phone, we send an invoice for a 30 % retainer, and the rest is paid 30 days before arrival in the busier periods, or 7 days before arrival in the other periods. The exact payment times for each period are listed with the cancellation fees in the cancellation and refund policy.

Peak periods may require full payment at the time of booking.

When you book an activity or a travel package, a 30 % retainer is paid with the invoice we send. The rest of the price, with the retainer deducted, must be paid 14 days before the start of the activity or before arrival.

Online bookings are completed on the platform of our booking provider, Moder. Moder's terms and privacy policy apply to the booking transaction in addition to these conditions. Availability, extras and payment methods are shown there.

Check-in and check-out times, house rules and what each type of accommodation includes are stated on its page and in your confirmation. Please treat the cabins and the village with care: you are responsible for damage you or your group cause.

A two-night minimum stay applies between 01 December 2026 and 31.12.2026. A booking cannot be changed to a shorter period. If you book only one night, the cost of two nights is charged, either as payment or as a cancellation fee.

Activities run in small groups and depend on safe conditions. Times, duration and distances are approximate. Guests must follow the guide's instructions, and we may refuse a person to take part if their health or behaviour puts the group or the animals at risk, without a refund. Age, weight and fitness limits are stated for each activity.

If an activity is booked together with accommodation as a travel package, the activity can only be cancelled together with the accommodation.

Where a booking qualifies as a package travel arrangement under Finnish law, your statutory rights about cancellation, refunds, changes to the programme and the organiser's liability apply. They take precedence over any conflicting provision in these conditions.

Group accommodation bookings, tailor-made travel programmes, retreats, sporting events and other private or organised group events can have their own booking, payment and cancellation conditions. We set them one by one, according to the size of the group, the dates, the services included and the organisation needed.

Group and event bookings must be arranged directly with North Star Muotkan Ruoktu Tunturikylä Oy, through the contact page. Conditions that we have agreed in writing and confirmed apply to that booking, within the limits of mandatory law. Where nothing specific has been agreed, these general conditions apply.

Travel insurance is compulsory for every customer who takes part in any of our activities. It must cover personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation.

We recommend insurance that also covers cancellation, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal belongings.

If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances beyond our reasonable control arise, we may cancel or change a booking where necessary. If we cancel and you are entitled to a refund under the law, you receive the refund the law requires. We may offer another date or a credit voucher, if you agree.

We are not liable for losses caused by such circumstances, except where the law does not allow us to exclude liability. We tell you about any cancellation or change as soon as reasonably possible.

If something is not as promised, please tell us during your stay so that we can put it right on the spot. You can also write to us afterwards. If we cannot agree, a consumer can take the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi), and the Consumer Advisory Service (kuluttajaneuvonta.fi) can advise you.

These conditions are governed by Finnish law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you. Disputes are resolved by the competent courts, in line with applicable Finnish and European Union law.

Nothing in these conditions limits a consumer's statutory right to bring proceedings before a court that has jurisdiction under the law.
